Modern Warfare 2 anyone? Yeah, I am just as stoked as all of you are. Dropping the Call of Duty moniker, Modern Warfare 2 snagged the top spot as our June 2009 cover story. Additionaly, the issue contains a six-page spread featuring DJ Hero – a game that has the potential to reignight my interest in music games.
As for my contribution? I took on the Marvel: Ultimate Aliance 2 preview based on my impressions from GDC and an interview with the developer Vicarious Visions. E3 can’t come fast enough so that I can finally get my hands on the game. I also make a couple of apperances in GI Spy. The first is posing with the Naughty Dog crew while attending an Uncharted 2 (!!!) event in L.A. The second picture is a bit old but no less fun. It was taken at Nintendo headquarters in Seattle a few weeks before the DSi launch. We used the cool camera templates to…augment the snapshot a bit. You’ll know what I am talking about when you see it.
So, did you get your June issue of GI yet? If so, what are you most excited for?
Im kind of giddy about the release of DJ Hero. It looks D.A.F. And, plus, my neighbors wont get all upset like they do when whale on the RockBand2 drums.
And UltAlliance2 as well. But, uh… Song Bird? Really? If we’re going B-List, then give me Batroc the Leaper or, heck, the entire Squadron Supreme. D.C. wont mind… much.

@James – Yeah, DJ Hero looks sick, although a bit tough coordination wise. Which I lack. And I don’t have anything against Song Bird either, but there are some other ladies that I would LOVE to see. Emma Frost, Rogue, Mystique, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk…I could keep going.

i suppose Song Bird has powers that are unique to the game. It could be argued that She Hulk is just more muscle and they have Hulk and Thing already. Emma Frost’s powers are defensive, and in that regard is a weak Invisible Woman. And Mystique just becomes other people. Which is cool in comics but weak in video games (i’m thinking at you, Mortal Kombat).
Medusa might be rad, though. Or Magik. Or, um… M.O.D.A.M.?!? Yes. I want M.O.D.A.M. in the game. And the female Punisher. And Aunt May.

@james – Hey now! I have to argue with Mystique, both her and Rogue could take on the form/powers of other characters or enemies…that sounds pretty cool to me. Also…Aunt May ftw!
