Hey all! Exciting news!
You may remember that back in June I was the “Fangirl of the Month” over at PanelsonPages.com. A month or so ago they contacted me to see if I wanted to be a part of their 2010 “Fangirl of the Month Calendar” and naturally, I agreed!
For the Calendar they paired us up with talented artists and let us take whatever direction we wanted in terms of the art. I ended up working with the multi-talented Kerry Dale, and we chatted back and forth about ideas before we decided on a concept. Because I want to be a superhero (naturally) and can never decided what superhero I would like to be (also, naturally) we decided to go with a 40s style pinup with me pondering what to put on for the day. Kerry took the idea and ran with it, infusing some fantastic art nouveau flair in the process. I love the end result, and with a completely bias perspective I say that our month, is by far, the best. My lovely friend Jill’s month (December) is a close second. 
In total seriousness, the entire calendar turned out awesome, and if you like comics, supporting fantastic websites and cool art, I suggest heading over to PanelsOnPages and picking up a copy. At a reasonable price you get to look at legitimately geeky girls all year!
Kerry provided me with the full resolution image, which I made into a desktop background to open up the “downloads” section of the website! I will be creating more desktop images of my cosplay work over the next few weeks, so check back often. But for now, enjoy his fantastic work!
