A quick update to let you know that we’ve revealed our newest issue. The December book features an original cover story compiled by the staff – The 30 Characters who Defined a Decade.
Designed by artist Sam Spratt, the cover is presented through three unique panels that piece together to make a single spread. Check out all three versions below, or click here to see the high resolution images.
If you are looking for content that I had a hand in, I helped editor Ben Reeves pull together the 2010 Holiday Buyer’s Guide. You can check out our geeky gift giving recommendations on pages 36-43.
I also detailed my impressions of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron on page 92. The game is stunning and most definitely has my attention.
You can check out my review of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit on page 110, or read my thoughts here. The bottom line is that I loved the game and can’t wait to give it a go with friends once it hits retail.
I also reviewed Shaun White Skateboarding for a second opinion, but wasn’t particularly impressed. You can read my thoughts on page 115, and online here.
The console release of The Sims 3 was also on my plate this month. The controls translate well and the addition of new features makes picking it up a no-brainer for anyone who is a fan of EA’s digital dollhouse. Check out the review on Page 119, or at gameinformer.com.
As for ancillary online content, I had the opportunity to interview Uncharted scribe Amy Hennig for part of our Storytellers of the Decade feature. We chatted about her early years in the industry, discussed what makes Naughty Dog different from other studios, and touched on details about the upcoming Uncharted movie. Check out the full piece here!
That’s it for now! Enjoy!
